Opening hours

Open during museum  hours 10am - 5pm every day except Christmas Day.

Shows at 11.30 am, 12.30, 1.30 pm.

The “Wonders of the Southern Sky” show is an excellent introduction to the southern night sky.

The content changes with the seasons to illustrate the special features seen only in the south.

Three locally-produced shows of world-class quality - Amazing Universe, Marama A Whetu, The Sky Tonight.

The adjacent Beautiful Science gallery features 12 gesture-contolled video screens where you can explore the wonders of science.

Admittance to planetarium restricted to 3 years and over.
